Facebook at work — social intranet for your company

Many companies use task management systems and all the conversions are built arout those tasks. But more mature companies actively use corporate portals and networks.
Any company sets a goal to inform their employees. But to inform pointwise — only definite co-workers. It’s important to have feedback — praise or criticism. All these make communication better and raise the efficiency of a working process. Corporate networks allow to solve these kind of tasks.
Facebook has launched new social service Facebook at Work designed for employee communication inside companies. It’s available as a web site and a mobile app for iOS and Android.
The new network is similar in design to traditional Facebook, but developers promise that corporate data will be stored separately from personal profiles with amatuer photos, etc.
Facebook points out that the novelty is assigned only for using inside companies. The developers promise that all the conditions will be created for safe information exchange which will be detached from personal Facebook accounts. The data which co-workers will share and exchange inside the service will be available to the employees of a definite company only.
The network aim is to help employees to exchange ideas using messages, updating their statuses and uniting in groups. When a worker publishes an interesting status, a corresponding notification appears in a great number of newsfeeds and spreads throughout a company like a virus.
Facebook at Work app is already available in American branch of App Store. The company has neither specified the partner list who test the service on a pilot stage nor the date when the app will be available for free access. Facebook audience is 1,35 billion users now.
