Every day I choose a fresh startup which will help to make your own startup more successful. Today we’ll look at QA-as-a-Service platform — Rainforest. It helps entrepreneurs to carry out testing and QA of their products.
Testing and QA is a tedious and difficult task. In order to solve it a company often has to hire specialists or organize branches. Rainforest will deal with the problem. It offers developers a possibility to test projects with the help of a side service.
An engineer sending the design for testing has to attach a detailed documentation describing exactly what and how should work. Rainforest team carries out a thorough testing and QA according to common standards of the branch and how to their opinion will users of a web site or app behave. Rainforest engineers make assumptions about users’ behavior on the basis of their own analytics.
After testing and QA, Rainforest team sends the client a detailed report with all the detected bugs and problems which a user may encounter.
The service offers 4 subscription variants:
- Junior — a client is offered 5 testers who areworking simultaneously, unlimited amount of tests, testing of the product in any 2 browsers (including mobile ones). Monthly payment (on condition that the subscriber sends another buildup once a week and testing covers only critical components) — $500.
- Part-time. There are 25 testers at a client’s disposal, who work simultaneously, unlimited amount of tests, 5 browsers to choose from and testing to 5 products. A subscriber may send a buildup 2-3 times a week. Monthly payment — $1000.
- Staff — 100 testers, 10 browsers to choose from and to 10 products. A client may send a buildup once a day. Monthly cost — $2000.
- Custom — unlimited amount of testers, browsers and services. There are more than 200 testers in a team. A client may send a buildup as often as needed. The cost is contractual.
It’s up to you to decide whether to hire QA specialists or test your products outside. There’s one thing you should remember: there is no limit to perfection but we should strive for it!
